Services
Four areas of work. One way of being paid for them.
Engagements are scoped in writing, delivered in milestones, and invoiced only after you have reviewed and approved what was produced. No deposits, no retainers for work that hasn't happened.
01
Business Performance Review
Find out where the money and the hours are actually going.
Most owners can tell you roughly where the business hurts. Very few can tell you what it is costing, or which of five competing problems to fix first. That gap is where money quietly disappears — in rework, in underpriced jobs, in staff time spent solving the same issue every week.
We work through the business as it actually operates: how a job moves from enquiry to invoice, where it stalls, who makes which decisions, and what each stage genuinely costs. We interview the people doing the work rather than only the people managing it, because the difference between those two accounts is usually where the answer sits.
You receive a written report that ranks the findings by cost and difficulty, explains the root cause of each rather than the symptom, and sets out a sequenced plan for fixing them. Every conclusion shows its evidence, so you can challenge it instead of taking it on trust.
What you get
- Written diagnostic report
- Findings ranked by cost
- Root-cause analysis
- Sequenced fix plan
- Cost-of-inaction estimates
- Walkthrough session

Operations & Workflow
Build a business that keeps running when you're not in the room.
There is a specific failure mode in owner-led businesses: the operation works because one person holds it together through memory, relationships and constant chasing. It functions right up until that person takes a holiday, gets sick, or wants to sell.
We rebuild the processes that break under load — quoting, scheduling, handovers, follow-up, invoicing — and write them down in a form your team will actually open. Where software helps we select it around your team's real capability and budget, not around whichever platform has the best sales demo. Where a spreadsheet and a clear rule will do, we say so.
The test we hold ourselves to is simple: could a competent new hire pick this up and run it correctly in a week without asking you? If not, it isn't finished.
What you get
- Redesigned core processes
- Written procedures
- Role and handover clarity
- Software recommendations
- Team training session
- Handover documentation

Growth, Pricing & Sales
Charge what the work is worth, and win it consistently.
Two problems show up together in almost every small business we review. The pricing was set years ago against a cost base that no longer exists, and new work arrives through referral rather than through anything repeatable. One suppresses margin, the other makes revenue unpredictable. Fixing either alone rarely holds.
We establish what your service is genuinely worth to the client — not what your competitors charge — and rebuild pricing so it survives a difficult conversation. Then we build a way of bringing work in that does not depend on the owner's personal network: a defined offer, a clear reason to choose you, and a follow-up process that actually gets followed.
Where a price increase is warranted we will tell you the number and help you deliver it to existing clients. That conversation is usually the highest-return hour of the entire engagement.
What you get
- Pricing model and rationale
- Positioning statement
- Client-facing offer structure
- Repeatable sales process
- Price-increase scripts
- Pipeline tracking setup
04
Cash Flow & Financial Control
Know your numbers before the decision, not after it.
Bookkeeping tells you what already happened. It does not tell you whether you can afford the hire, whether that contract is worth taking, or what happens to cash if your largest client pays thirty days late. Most owners are managing backward through a rear-view mirror and calling it financial control.
We build a forecast you can run the business from, and work out what each job, product or client actually earns once every real cost is counted — including the owner's own time, which is almost always excluded. In our experience that exercise alone reveals at least one line of work being run at a loss.
Then we set a short monthly reporting routine around the handful of numbers that genuinely govern your business, so you are watching the right things rather than all of them.
What you get
- Cash flow forecast model
- True job or product costing
- Margin analysis by line
- Key numbers dashboard
- Monthly reporting routine
- Scenario planning
Process
How every engagement runs, without exception.
Consult
A no-cost conversation to establish whether the problem is real, worth solving, and something we are competent to solve. If any of those is a no, we tell you and stop.
Scope
Milestones, deliverables, timelines, fees and revision terms in writing before work begins. Nothing expands quietly. Any change is re-agreed before time is spent.
Deliver
Work is completed milestone by milestone, presented, and revised as reasonably needed to hit the agreed outcome. The invoice follows your approval, never precedes it.
Hand over
Documentation, training and a clean handover so your team owns what was built. Optional check-in later to confirm it held under real operating conditions.
Billing
How we charge, in plain terms.
These are contractual commitments set out in our written agreement and on the Terms & Conditions page — not goodwill gestures.
Read the full terms- Every project starts with a consult at no cost. Scope, milestones and fees are agreed in writing before any work begins.
- Work runs in defined milestones. An invoice is issued only after a milestone is completed, revised as reasonably needed, and approved by you. No upfront payment for undelivered work. No deposits.
- Reasonable revisions to reach the agreed outcome are included in the milestone and are never treated as an upsell.
- If a project cannot be completed, you receive a pro rata refund for any milestone paid for but not delivered.
- If work was carried out but a milestone was not reached, it is not charged.
- Full scope, fees, currency, timelines and refund terms live in a written agreement signed before the engagement starts.

Next step
Not sure which of these you need? That's what the consult is for.
Describe the situation as you see it. Working out which problem is the real one is part of the job, and it costs you nothing to find out.
